Title: “Increasing Transfer Pricing Focus as Multinational Corporates Expand”
Brief Bio: Dr. Pallavi Paul holds a Doctorate from IIM Ahmedabad and a Master’s in Economics from Calcutta University. With over 25 years of experience, she has worked across the energy sector and transfer pricing domains, specializing in BEPS 1.0, BEPS 2.0, and ESG Tax. She has also been instrumental in advising companies on related party compliance under the Companies Act 2013 and SEBI (LODR) and is a key voice in building awareness around ESG Tax and tax transparency.
ABSTRACT: Transfer pricing has long been a global mechanism to prevent multinational companies from exploiting tax differences across jurisdictions. With globalization, multinationals have built complex supply chains across borders, making transfer pricing a critical tool for fair taxation. The rise of the digital economy and new business models has intensified concerns about base erosion and profit shifting, prompting stricter disclosure requirements. This session will introduce participants to the why and what of transfer pricing.
