Abstract:
Dr. Ajitabh Ambastha has 25+ years of experience across industry, consultancy, research, and academia in corporate strategy, business excellence, digital transformation, technology management, HR, sustainability, and operations. He holds a Ph.D. in Strategy from IIT Delhi, along with an MBA and BE. Currently, he is Professor of Strategy & Leadership and Marketing at Christ University, Bangalore. Previously, he worked with Tata Capital as VP & Head of Business Excellence and L&D, and has held leadership roles at GMR Airports, DLF, CII Institute of Quality, and Gammon India.
Brief Bio:
Benchmarking serves as a strategic tool for evaluating, enhancing, and sustaining an organization’s competitiveness. This session explores the application of structured benchmarking within the framework of the Business Excellence Model. In the digital era, traditional benchmarking is evolving, enabling organizations to leverage this approach more effectively in strategy execution through the balanced scorecard (BSC). Practical examples are provided to illustrate how organizations utilize benchmarking during the strategic management process, particularly within the context of digital transformation.
