Entitled:”Innovation and the Automotive Industry”
Abstract:
The Automotive industry is fast steering towards a more connected, autonomous and electric environment. This is mainly driven by the changing customers’ requirements, their desires and surge in connected platforms. It cannot be denied that many new entrants are making their mark in this race to deliver innovative products and solutions when compared to the established OEMs, which in turn is pushing OEMs, especially their R&D teams, to constantly innovate. Given this, the Innovation Management team at Mercedes-Benz Research and Development India (MBRDI) is playing a key role in identifying and nurturing innovation. The talk would portray an overview, including where the Automotive industry is heading, some emerging trends, and the challenges faced.
About the Speaker:
Rohan is a Mechanical Engineer, and has completed his Master of Management from IISc in 2017. He is passionate about cars and the Automotive industry and has worked with Toyota Motor, Bangalore, in Product Management domain in the past. Currently, he is part of the Innovation Management team at Mercedes-Benz Research and Development India (MBRDI). He is equally passionate about Japan and its culture, and has lived in Osaka for 1.5 years to acquire Business Level proficiency in the Japanese language. Also, he likes spending his time to develop his wife’s Art and Creative services firm.
