Entitled:
“Adventures In A Non-Government Organization”
Abstract:
The talk will focus on the challenges that have been posed to the organization, especially during the last few years, and the solutions that they came up with. It will involve:
a) Showing a short [- 4-5 minutes -] video on the Non-Government Organization, the Environment Association of Bangalore; and
b) Talk on Adventures in a Non-Government Organization. The talk will be done by making use of a PowerPoint Presentation. It will have 20 photographs capturing some of the adventures that they had over the years.
About the Speaker:
Dr. R. G. Nadadur served as an officer of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS). He was borne on the Karnataka Cadre. He served in the Government of Karnataka and, also in the Government of India. After serving for over three decades, in various capacities, he took Voluntary Retirement from Government in 2012. He holds a Bachelors and a Masters Degree in Economics from the University of Madras, a Master’s Degree in Economics from the University of Notre Dame, the USA, and a Doctorate in Economics from the University of Mysore. Dr. Nadadur has a wealth of experience in sectors, such as Sustainable Rural Development, Education, Human Resource Development, Personnel Management and Training, Agriculture and Watershed Development, Horticulture and Sericulture, Environment and Ecology, Renewable Energy, Space Research and Development, Capacity Building, Finance and Accounts, Decentralized Administration and Empowering Local Communities. After his retirement from Government, Dr. Nadadur served as Adjunct Professor for Agriculture and Rural Development at the Institute for Social and Economic Change in Bengaluru. Later, he served as Chief Operating Officer of the Sri Ravishankar Vidya Mandir Trust of the Art of Living Organization, in Bengaluru. Thereafter, he served as Director and Head of the Bengaluru Center of the Swami Vivekananda Youth Movement in Bengaluru, and later as Honorary Secretary in the Chinmaya Mission – Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Bengaluru. Dr. Nadadur is a co-Founder and currently President of the Environment Association of Bangalore.
