Why partner with DoMS
Management education inside India's premier science and engineering institution — more computational depth than a typical management school, more real-world systems exposure than a typical engineering department.
Quantitative by design
A premier programme built on quantitative approaches to business decision-making, integrating AI, machine learning, statistics and operations research with finance, operations, marketing and strategy.
Among the most selective in the country
Fewer than 0.5% of applicants are admitted each year, through a written assessment of analytical reasoning and quantitative ability followed by a personal interview.
Engineers who can own a business decision
Students arrive as engineers and leave able to frame the right problem, choose the right method, question a model's assumptions and take responsibility for the answer.

Roles our students step into
Every graduate combines an engineering background with two years of quantitative, data-science and management training. Here is where that combination fits.

Quantitative Researcher
For trading, risk, pricing and research desks
Trained in probability theory, applied statistics, time-series and regression analysis and decision models — students can build, test and defend a quantitative model, not just run one.

Data Scientist
For analytics, product and AI teams
Machine learning, deep learning, NLP and data mining are taught alongside marketing, operations and finance, so students know what a model must deliver for the business before they build it.

Financial Risk Analyst
For banks, NBFCs, insurers and fintech
Corporate finance, financial instruments and risk management combined with statistical modelling and macro-economics — students can quantify exposure and explain it to a decision-maker.

AI / ML Engineer
For engineering-led AI and automation teams
Engineering graduates who have gone deep into agentic and generative AI, machine learning and deep learning, and who understand the operational and strategic context those systems serve.

Business Analyst
For strategy, product, consulting and operations roles
Product and strategy, marketing analytics, operations and economics taught with the same rigour as the quantitative core — students move comfortably between a messy business question and the data that answers it, and communicate the result clearly.
When you can hire
Every batch follows the same two-year calendar, so the three engagement windows fall at the same time every year.
May - July
Summer Internship
Three months at the end of the first year. Suited to scoped analytics or modelling projects, and a common route to a pre-placement offer.
January - June
Six-month internship
The final semester is spent full-time in your organisation, working on a real problem — long enough to own an end-to-end deliverable.
From July (post-graduation)
Full-time hiring
Students are available for full-time roles on completing the two-year programme. Offers can be made at any point in the second year.
Seminar series
Recruiters and industry experts are invited to lead a seminar for our students — a short talk on your industry, function or the kind of problems your team solves, followed by Q&A. The department schedules and hosts the session on campus or online.
For recruiters
A low-commitment way to build visibility with students well before hiring season, and to meet the batch informally ahead of interviews.
For students
Direct exposure to how organisations actually use analytics and management thinking, beyond what a job description can convey.
