Development of an Employee Life Enhancement Scorecard to Predict Key Metrics
Student Name: George Oommen
Employee attrition is a major problem faced by the Indian BPO industry. Thus
in this project a digitized tool was developed which would help the HR
manager to make right and timely decisions that would enhance the life-cycle
and results of an employee, keeping retention as the main focus. The backbone
of the tool was based on a logistic regression model of attrited/retained
employee on 16 HRM related variables like number of awards, flexishift,
redeployment, type of work, weekend work etc. The interaction between these
variables were identified using the CHAID (CHi-square Automatic Interaction
Detector) methodology which in turn was used to build a step-wise logistic
regression model along with the original variables. The digitized tool
then provided a graphical front end for inputing the values of these
variables and came up with the attrition probability using the underlying
logistic regression model.
