NCAA Football Team, University of Missouri 1988: Development of a Permutation Test
Football players of the 1988 MU team were classified in their best
suited playing position, based on their anthropometric measurements. Principal
components of the anthropometric measurements were obtained, and a permutation
test was developed to test for significance in the dispersion of measurements,
by permuting over the possible values of the playing positions. Programs
were written in FORTRAN with IMSL routines.
